The rumours were rumbling a few weeks back about a port of Assassin’s Creed Shadows coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. It seems those rumours have come good, with Ubisoft officially announcing a Switch 2 port of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Based on the short reveal trailer, the port looks very well optimised for the Nintendo Switch 2. Recently, Ubisoft’s impressive Star Wars Outlaws port released on Nintendo Switch 2, and it seems likely they could perform the same magic on Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The game has also been confirmed to include cross-progression, meaning if you have the game on another platform, you can pick up where you left off on the Switch 2 and continue your journey through feudal Japan.
We’d like to see more – but there’s not much time for that. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2nd 2025.
