Elden Ring Tarnished Edition was one of the first third-party games announced for the Nintendo Switch 2. It sent a clear message that third-parties were not afraid to bring their demanding games to Nintendo’s new console, and that it was perfectly capable of delivering AAA games.
Recently, members of the press got to play a build of Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, but were unable to record any footage. The reports coming from those who were able to play this build suggested that the performance sub-par at best, and unplayable at worst.
Since then, things have been relatively silent with information on the Switch 2 release of Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, originally set to release 2025.
Today, it was confirmed that Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is set to release in 2026, but with no set date.
